Abilou Cocker Spaniels was set up by myself, Abigail Yates and family, based near Preston, Lancashire. Our first dog was Flossy (Lourisma Lunetta) who has been going to obedience classes since she was 4 months old and now completed all the KC good citizen dog scheme awards, she has a lovely kind nature which has been passed down to her puppies. She looks after the puppies so well, she loves to play with them and give them treats throughout the day when she is not able to feed them herself.

Our first show dog at Abilou Cocker Spaniels was Sophie (Abilou Bluebell of the West) who helped me over a number of

years gain knowledge about showing cocker spaniels at open and championship show level, she taught me the basics of how to stand and groom cockers and she was a lot of fun to show as she had such a happy and outgoing nature, she now lives with another family as a pet in the south of England and doing very well.

Our next show dog was Charlie (Abilou Starlight of Lunetta) he has unique markings, and, from 6 months old, has been doing very well in the show ring, he has been placed every year for six years at Crufts, he has also gained his stud book number at North of England Cocker club by getting a 2nd in his class, this means he is qualified for Crufts for life. He has such a fantastic and unique temperament, he is so loving and such a show off which can be seen when he is the ring, he has taught me over the years how to stand him so he looks his best. Charlie has also passed his KC good citizen dog scheme Bronze and Silver award and also enjoys his semi-retirement attending agility classes and displays around the North West.

We now have 5 cocker spaniels, Flossy (Lourisma Lunetta) my original bitch, Charlie, Gus, Amber and Bertha. They all have a super temperament and always wanting to please.
